Today I woke up contemplating ego. My own and others.
Buddhist believe that in order to find true happiness and inner peace you must first lose your ego.
The tricky part about this, most people when working on improving themselves and losing their ego, gain a sense of accomplishment when they eventually do begin to lose their ego and put others before them, but this sense of accomplishment often ends up boosting their own egos when they become aware that they have improved their existence by easing the role of their ego.
I’m not sure of the solution to this problem or even if it is a problem at all but more of a complex thought on the human condition.
Either way, quiet your ego every once in a while, you can’t go wrong.
